The Holy Redeemer Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is seeking student submissions for a LOGO which will be used on PAC printed material, emails, blogs etc..!


Participation:
·     The competition is open to all students of Holy Redeemer. Families are welcome to assist!


Guidelines:
·     The Logo should represent the spirit of the Parent Advisory Council at Holy Redeemer Catholic School.
·     The Logo must be the original work of the student
·     The logo should be simple, with clean lines, not be complicated or confusing, and all elements must be discernible when reproduced in smaller sizes.
·     The logo should not use more than 3 colours (if colour is used)


Submission Deadline:
·     Monday January 11, 2015
·     Students are encouraged to submit their Logo design to their teacher.
·     Please include your full name and grade.


Prize:
·     The selected winner will receive:
v Artistic credit for the winning logo design
v Use of the Logo by the Parent Advisory Council
v A $25 gift card to Toys R Us!


We are excited to see your designs!

A BIG thanks!


Thank you to all the parents who helped with the concert raffles, concert bake sale and the bring and buy sale.  All were successful and could not have happened without our volunteers.
Thank you also to the students who helped sell at the parent teacher interviews and the Advent concert.  Nice to see our students wanting to help out.

Bring & Buy - HELP WANTED



We are still looking for 2 or 3 parents to help wrap gifts during the Bring and Buy next Thursday morning, December 17th.  If you are able to help please contact hrparentcouncil@gmail.com.


We will also be handing out Pizza Lunches that day if you are able to stay over the lunch to help hand out pizza please let us know!

Also a big shout out to our Band Parents Association for all the hard work gathering and selling baking at our amazing Christmas Concert!

Christmas Spirit Elves

Each Year at Holy Redeemer our families get together to collect items for a worthy cause at Christmas time. Last Year we had such success that we will again be teaming up with A Safe Place in Sherwood Park. A Safe Place is a local Sherwood Park women and children's shelter. They offer housing to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Each year they help over 300 hundred women and over 400 of their children at the shelter.

 They have asked us if we would collect new face cloths and towels or new bed sheets in any size. The price and colour don’t matter so look for the best deal. These items are used in care packages of essential items that the women receive when they are ready to leave the shelter. Together we can make a difference in our community by bringing in one of these items from now untill Monday, December 14th.

Christmas Concert Priority Seating and Parking Raffle

Tickets for the PAC raffle are being sold Wednesday at lunch time!


Do you want to be guaranteed a parking spot at the door?  Do you want to sit on a comfy couch, Front and Center at the Christmas concert?  Then you want to purchase a raffle ticket for this years draw!

Tickets are $2 each or $5 for 3.

Draw is on Friday December 4th!

Hot Lunch-Cycle 2 and PIZZA!

Hot Lunch & Pizza Lunch Orders

It’s that time of year again!  Ordering for Hot Lunch Cycle 2 (Jan-Feb 2016) is NOW OPEN!  Parent council has added a Pizza Lunch to this cycle as a special treat is for December17th!

HOW TO ORDER:
  • Use your hot lunch account that you created AFTER September 1st, 2015.  If you have not created an account yet this year please create a NEW account.
  • http://hr.hotlunches.net   (*note* no ”www” in the web address!)
  • If you need to create a new account the ACCESS CODE is - *please contact hrhotlunch@gmail.com for the access code*

DEADLINE:
  •  All payments and orders are required by DECEMBER 3rd, 2015 No exceptions as orders must be forwarded to suppliers in advance.  If you have had issues ordering in the past please complete your order in well in the advance of the deadline so that assistance can be provided if required.

HOW TO PAY:
  •  Once you have completed your family’s orders, please submit payment and the remittance form to the school in an envelope marked “hot lunch” with your child’s name and grade, on or before the due date.  If you have any questions please contact Kellie at hrhotlunch@gmail.com.
  • When submitting orders for multiple children please submit ONE CHEQUE FOR ALL CHILDRENCheques are to be made payable to “Holy Redeemer Parent Council”.
  •   EXACT CHANGE ONLY

Annual Bring & Buy Sale

Bring & Buy Sale

It’s time to start thinking about the Bring and Buy sale. What is the Bring and Buy? Every year at Holy Redeemer the parents hold a sale of “garage sale” type items for the kids to purchase at a small amount (.25 - $2.00) as Christmas gifts for their families.

What:  Annual Bring & Buy Sale
-          Please send in New or Gently Used items By December 11th
-          If you have any gift bags and tissue to donate please send in by December 11th as the gifts will be wrapped for the kids.

When: Thursday, December 17th
-           (Don’t forget to send money with your kids so they can go shopping for their family!)

Can you help out? :
-          We need volunteers to help with Setup on December 16th, Sales on December 17th and Clean up on December 18th.  Please contact Angela Morin (hrparentcouncil@gmail.com) for more information.
